Door een deskundige analytische benadering maakt Balleux van de mediaomgeving waaraan we allemaal dagelijks worden blootgesteld diverse artistieke voorstellen, die allemaal gebaseerd zijn op \u00e9\u00e9n onveranderlijke handeling: het monteren van diverse beelden uit films, krantenknipsels, tijdschriften, persoonlijke foto&#8217;s, enz. tot een artistiek corpus waarin de constructie van beelden door middel van schilderen wordt omgezet in een existenti\u00eble metafoor. Stephan Balleux woont en werkt in Brussel.<\/p>\n<p>De tekeningen van Denitsa Todorova zijn opgebouwd uit verschillende lagen, zoals schilderijen. Terwijl een schilder echter de ene laag met de andere probeert te onderdrukken, probeert Todorova door het subtiel verwijderen van delen van verschillende grafietlagen te onthullen. De kunstenaar lijkt een geschilderd raam schoon te vegen om meer en meer licht in de ruimte van de toeschouwer te laten, waardoor haar tekening een toegang tot het zonlicht wordt. Wat Todorova effectief verbeeldt is zowel abstract als emotioneel.
